Sam's Book

On Friday, Sam went down to the Grout Museum and got to participate in the Weekly Wonder Summer Program.  A few activities were set up and ready to go.  Sam made her own book and did potato stamping on the cover.  She also got to make homemade shrinky dinks, which if I find, I will post those as well.

Here is yet another book by SJMM.  She wrote it (although Grandma did the actual writing) and illustrated the book.

Enjoy~

Sam and a friend, maybe

While in the van one day recently, Sam drew this picture.  I'm not sure if it's Sam and a friend or me, but it's cute either way.

Tie Dye

This weekend Sam and I, along with Tonia did some tie-dye.  It was one of those activities on our summer bucket list.  We did a heart shaped design on her t-shirt and while it didn't turn out as the best heart ever, I think it turned out pretty darn good!

Rabbit by Samantha

Iron man= Fe Male=Sam

Okay, so this isn't actually Sam's creation, but she was so cute and so excited for her Halloween costume last year that I had to share.   We bought the jumpsuit, mask and gloves, but I made the tutu. In this picture, we were waiting for our Halloween hike to start at Hartman Reserve.

1/15/2013 What's a Sphinx?

We were eating at Applebee's one night and while waiting for our food we were talking about different things, one of which was the Sphinx.  Sam asked us what that was so she could draw it.   Based on our explanation of it having a man's head and a cat-like body, this is what she drew.

Tiny Bubbles

Sam and Grandma did some bubble painting on January 18, 2013.

Put some food coloring in either bubble mix or dish soap and water (I can't remember exactly) and blow bubbles.   Place the paper over the bubbles and as they pop, they leave a mark.

Scraps

I made a cake last night for Tonia's work and had some scraps leftover.   I put all those together and iced the "scrap" cake.  While working from home today, Sam asked if she could decorate the cake and the below is what she came up with for her design.

Puffballs

While I was working from home today, Sam occupied herself pretty well.  Here is a piece of art she created!

The first gallery submissions

These are just some of the drawings Sam had done in the last couple of weeks.  As time goes on, I will post more pictures of drawings she does.  I'll try to do this on a semi-regular basis, but don't hold me to that.
